Interesting.

Looking at the properties it appears to be isomorphic to my proposed  
ontology:

id = URI of Tagging
subject = taggedResource
author = taggedBy
publisher: out of scope
verifier: out of scope, but the assertion is reified so normal means  
apply
date: taggedOn

The predicate thing you mention appears to turn this into RDF; this  
*is* an encoding of RDF, where using rel-tag makes it about taggings.

Interesting indeed. From my experience at IIW, I know that some of  
those authors are aware of RDF, so I wonder why they've reinvented it?
