Hi,

Thank you for a great response the call for use cases. As promised, I
wrote up the collection of use cases and analyzed the requirements they
entail, and posted a piece on the tagcommons.org site, with the permalink:

a/

If you had already seen the post from an RSS feed, I just updated the
language to address Nitin Borwanker's latest comments in a couple of places:

"This use case of aggregate tag data also can be viewed from different
perspectives, depending on whether the data are about individual tag
assertions or about group behavior or collections of tag facts. Collections
of tags, in turn, may be filtered, sorted, or otherwise aggregated from
individual tag: for example, the "top ten" tags on an object."

"Some systems have a notion of tag type or tagged item type, which also can
be used to constrain searches and comparisons."

Now we can turn to the next phase of the process, which is to talk about
what kinds of mechanisms could enable these applications -- it's not all
about ontology -- and how to relation existing standards at various levels.
I'll start a new thread on that.

Tom
